The advanced practice course is a 12 week course, involving synchronous lectures, open to health professionals in Canada, on a competitive basis, who have successfully completed the foundational course in food allergy. The advanced practice course will be capped at 20 per term, and offered once per year, in the Spring. Advanced practice topics include multiple and emerging food allergies; adult onset food allergies; food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome; food allergy issues unique to rural and remote communities; and, more. Participants will learn from world experts on these topics; and will have opportunities to develop resources for use in their own practice. A pre-test and a post-test are required.
